Drag racing, high performance vehicles and a TV show on Discovery called “Street Outlaws”… all related to a business in Lakeville, MN?
QA1 has been in this business since 1993 when it was founded by Jim Jordan. QA1 introduced rod ends and spherical bearings specifically for the performance racing industry, quickly becoming the #1 name in rod ends, spherical bearings, custom linkages and similar products to the motorsports industry. With over 83,000 square feet of manufacturing space in Lakeville, MN, QA1 is proud to offer an extensive line of American made shock absorbers and accessories. Experience in value-added global sourcing for aluminum forgings and impact extrusions contributes to our ability to provide the highest quality components.
Melissa Scoles, Jim’s daughter is now the President of QA1 continuing with her Dad’s legacy. The video below is a great walk through of this hidden gem right in our own back yard in Lakeville’s industrial park.
In addition to running QA1, Melissa is carrying on her father’s legacy by hosting the 3rd Annual Jim Jordan Memorial Golf Tournament. “We’re so excited to continue the tradition with our 3rd annual tournament in memory of my dad. It means so much to me that this event has become a favorite for many and that we’ve raised almost $25,000 to donate to lung cancer organizations. Last year we raised $15,000 for A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation and we’re hoping to top that this year.” The tournament will once again be held at Boulder Pointe in Elko – this year it will be on Sunday, July 23rd. The tournament will be set up similarly to years past, with a scramble style tournament, prizes and raffles. All money raised will again be donated to A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation, a 501c3 tax-exempt organization. A Breath of Hope Lung Foundation puts 87% of donations straight into programs that support lung cancer research, lung cancer patients and families, and awareness campaigns.
Please see below, or visit www.qa1.net/golf, for more information and to register to golf. If you’re interested in helping but can’t attend the event, please see the attached form for more information on donating funds/prizes or being a sponsor. Feel free to pass this information along to anyone you think may be interested. The awesome prizes that have been generously donated have been key in making this an event that people love to attend and support.
