The Lakeville Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization, focuses on workforce development through scholarships and grants. The Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Each year the Foundation raises funds through three main avenues: Suds for Scholars, Bowling Tournament Raffle and donations from Chamber and community members.
The Lakeville area Chamber Foundation awards scholarships to:
- High-school seniors in the Lakeville Area School District, ISD 194. Applicant must be planning to attend a trade, technical school, or college in pursuit of a 2-year certification or 4-year degree in STEM.
- Candidates employed with a Lakeville Area Chamber member business. Chamber member must be of current standing with the Chamber as of date of application. Applicant must be pursuing education credits or certification with a qualifies program.
The Lakeville area Chamber Foundation awards Impact Grants to:
- Grants will be awarded each year in amounts up to $3,000 to support innovative, student-based programs, that include workforce readiness initiatives and/or STEM career exposure, and that have the ability to be replicated or adapted district-wide. Guidelines and the application are attached.
All donations to the Lakeville Chamber Foundation are 100 % tax deductible.
