The Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the hire of Krista Jech as the new President.

Lakeville, MN – The Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that Krista Jech has accepted the position of President of the Chamber.
Jech has twenty years of sales, marketing, event and project management experience. She spent fifteen of those years in the newspaper industry, working for both the Star Tribune and ECM Publishers. She comes to the Chamber from her current position as an Account Manager for KSTP-TV, a Hubbard Broadcasting station headquartered in St. Paul.
A Burnsville High School graduate, and resident of Lakeville for over eleven years, Jech has many connections in the Lakeville community and greater Dakota County. In her role as Director of Specialty Publications for ECM Publishers she partnered with over twenty Chambers of Commerce in Minnesota and western Wisconsin to produce their custom annual publications, including the Lakeville Chamber’s annual membership directory and inDemand magazine. She has also been an active volunteer for the Chamber – Landscape & Home/Consumer Showcase Expo and Fall Gala – as well as a current Pan-O-Prog board member for over six years.
“I am thrilled to be a part of this amazing organization. Both the Chamber and the City of Lakeville are very robust and positioned well for growth and prosperity in the coming years. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to use my knowledge and experience to lead the continued growth of our local business community in the city that I live, and am raising my family in”, said Jech.
Current Board Chair, Stephanie Scherer said, “The hiring committee and board of directors worked tirelessly to identify the best candidate for the role as Lakeville Area Chamber President. After receiving numerous applications, we feel the Krista will do an amazing job to take the Lakeville Area Chamber of Commerce in a wonderful direction. We really did take each Lakeville Chamber employee, board member, volunteer, member, and community partner’s input into consideration when filling this position and look forward to everyone meeting her in her new role here in Lakeville.”
Jech has a degree in Journalism, with an emphasis on Advertising, from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. She and her husband, Jory, have two boys – Luke is a freshman at Lakeville North and Mason is a seventh grader at Century Middle School. Her first day at the Chamber will be October 8.
